==Career==
Dalbir Bharti was appointed as an IPS officer in 1987 and allotted to the Maharashtra cadre. He took voluntary retirement as Inspector General of Police (IGP) in November 2011. After retirement, he worked in the corporate sector for two and a half years as Group President and Head of Security and Law. Currently, he is an advocate and legal consultant based in Delhi NCR. In 1993, he founded the Bharti Education and Development Society (Regd) in Delhi and continues to serve as its President. The society operates libraries and other activities aimed at the education and development of poor and needy students.
