RAKESH BHOLA
Rakesh Bhola is an Indian advocate, writer, and poet with a background in English literature and law. He is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association and has developed a literary career alongside his legal practice.
Education
Rakesh Bhola studied English Literature and earned an MA degree in English as well as an LLB. During his college years, he served as Editor of the English Section of his college magazine and worked as a university press reporter.
Career
Rakesh Bhola has been a practicing advocate and a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association. Before entering full-time legal practice in 2005, he served the department of Revenue for more than 20 years and also taught English at the college level. Alongside his legal career, he has been actively engaged in literary writing, poetry, book reviews, and reflective essays.
Literary Work
Rakesh Bhola's literary engagement predates his legal career and is deeply influenced by his father's multilingual writings in Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, and English. He is the author of several books that cover both legal and literary subjects, including "The Bards In The Bench" (2024). His latest book, an anthology of multilingual poems titled "Margins Of A Legal Life" (2026), reflects his personal and creative expression through verse and prose.
