Dr. Laxmikanta Mahapatra belongs to a small village in Odisha named Sarankula. He completed his early education at a village school and later attended college in Nayagarh. He pursued his Master of Business Administration degree from Nagpur, Maharashtra. His father was a government school Sanskrit teacher and his mother a housewife. For 12 years, he was the chief coordinator and CEO of ME Super-30, a NEET and IIT-JEE coaching institute in Odisha.
