Bhuvan Singh Koram
Bhuvan Singh Koram is an Indian social working leader from Balaghat. He is known for his dedication to tribal development, education, and raising awareness about health and constitutional rights in his community.

Career
After resigning from his job in Gujarat and returning to his home district of Balaghat, Bhuvan Singh Koram observed the many challenges faced by his community due to a lack of education. This prompted him to take an interest in social work. He dedicated himself to a mission of raising awareness about education, health, and constitutional rights, launching a campaign that reached all areas of the district. Recognizing his efforts, the community entrusted him with a leadership role, appointing him as the General Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Development Council (Balaghat).
He has spearheaded struggles addressing numerous issues faced by the tribal community—including atrocities, exploitation, and battles over Jal, Jungle, Zameen (water, forest, and land rights)—as well as opposing unjust actions by the Revenue and Forest Departments and addressing the problem of Naxalite activities and arbitrary police operations in the district.
To strengthen basic education within the community, he established a free school in a remote forest region in 2018. He has personally borne all expenses for this initiative to date, and the school has provided primary education to approximately 300 children.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bhuvan Singh Koram assisted students living in cities and migrant laborers stranded by the lockdown, while also delivering rations and medicines to remote forest villages and conveying the community's grievances to the district administration.
In recognition of his work, the community has honored him with numerous certificates of appreciation. He was appointed District President (Balaghat) of the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Development Council and later State President of the All India Tribal Religious Council. He continues to participate in movements across various states and in the national capital, Delhi, to address issues concerning the country's tribal population.
The Gond tribal community has entrusted him with a significant social responsibility by appointing him as National Executive President. During the recent 18th Lok Sabha elections, a coalition of 13 active social organizations selected him as their parliamentary candidate.
His personal ideology, which drives his active participation in social causes, gives him the courage to persevere; he considers the respect he receives from the tribal community today to be the greatest achievement of his life.
