World Record Achievement

In 2024, Dr Sanjay Kumar, along with Dr. Shabi Ahmad, achieved an internationally recognized world record for the largest ovarian endometrioma (colloquially known as a "chocolate cyst") removed by surgery. The surgical team removed a giant ovarian endometrioma measuring 28.3 cm × 24.4 cm × 12 cm, containing approximately 5 litres of fluid, from an adolescent female patient. The record was officially recognized by the International Book of Records (World Records of Excellence) on 31 January 2024 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, India.
