Education

Pitamber Lal Sood completed his Bachelor of Arts degree along with CAIIB certification and pursued part one of a Master of Arts in English.

Career

He joined the State Bank of Patiala in January 1977 and retired as Chief Manager at the Commercial Branch in Ludhiana on 30 June 2013.

Social Work

After retirement, Pitamber Lal Sood has been serving in social welfare organizations including Jiwan Jagriti Manch in Garhshankar, Punjab, and as a trustee of Dr BR Ambedkar Mission Trust in Garhshankar. Both organizations focus on social welfare activities such as organizing blood donation camps, running charitable dispensaries and clinical labs, and arranging learning classes at Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar Bhavan in Garhshankar. He is an ardent believer in constitutional rights and is also a member of the Indian Press Union as a district reporter for Hoshiarpur.
