Education
Biranchi Narayan Panda completed his schooling at GBH School, Gunupur in 1976. He passed I.Sc from SKCG College Paralakhemundi in 1978 and graduated in Agriculture from OUAT, Bhubaneswar in 1982.
Career
Biranchi Narayan Panda started his career as a research assistant at OUAT in 1983. He then worked as an agriculture officer at Oil Odisha in 1983 before joining the Government of Odisha as an agricultural officer in 1984. He took voluntary retirement while serving as Assistant Director of Agriculture in 2006.
He was the founder editor of the Odia agricultural magazine Krushak Bandhu Annapurna. In 1999, he produced 52 episodes of an agriculture-based program on Doordarshan named "Krushak Bandhu Annapurna." He also edited the daily Odia newspaper Jagrata Odisha.
Biranchi Narayan Panda produced and wrote the Odia feature film Satyameb Jayate in 2008, for which he was awarded Best Script Writer by the Government of Odisha. He produced the films Aa Janhare Lekhiba Naa in 2008, ACP Sagarika in 2013, and Rangila Baba in 2016.
In 2024, he produced, wrote, and directed the Odia feature film Sinduraa, which was awarded Best Educational Film by the Government of Odisha. The award was presented by the Chief Minister of Odisha.
