Dr Rahul Devraj
Dr Rahul Devraj is an Indian doctor, author, motivational speaker and educationalist based in Karnataka. He is known for his dedicated medical service in rural areas, motivational speeches in Kannada, and his self-help book Raise the Bar.
Early Life
Dr Rahul Devraj was born on 29 March 1996 in Mandenakoppa, a village in the Shivamogga district of Karnataka, India. He was born into a farming family. His father, Devraj S. Mandenkoppa, is a farmer and social worker, and his mother, Hemavathi S., is a bank employee.
Education
Dr Rahul Devraj completed his early education in Shivamogga district before pursuing medicine. He graduated from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. He holds postgraduate diplomas in Emergency Medicine, Hospital Management, Human Psychology, Clinical Cosmetology, and Applied Nutrition. He also attended Symbiosis International University, Pune.
Career
Dr Rahul Devraj began his career as a Government Medical Officer serving at Shikaripur and Shivamogga from 2019 to 2023. He provided medical aid to the people of Kodagu and Kerala during the 2018 landslides. Known popularly as the "50 Rupees Doctor," he operates a clinic in Kumsi village, Karnataka, offering affordable medical consultation. He has also provided nutritional support to hundreds of tuberculosis patients. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he was recognized for using music therapy to treat patients.
Achievements
Dr Rahul Devraj has received several awards and recognitions including the Vaishya Bhushan and Vaishya Gandharva titles. In 2022, he authored the self-help book Raise the Bar, which earned him the Tagore Literature Award from the Dawn Research and Development Council (DRDC). He holds multiple world records including:
- Youngest doctor to give music therapy to treat COVID patients (International Book of Records)
- Maximum pushups balancing on three empty glass cups in 30 seconds (International Book of Records)
- Maximum pushups on three steel glasses in 30 seconds (India Book of Records)

Personal Life
Dr Rahul Devraj is married to Dr Adithi Rahul, an Ayurveda doctor. The couple has a son named Shubhankar Raj. He has one brother, Harshith Devraj, who is an engineer.
