Early Life

Gopi Krishna Sahay was an active member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) during his college years at College of Commerce, Magadh University. He participated in student union elections at the college in 1991 and 1994.

Education

Gopi Krishna Sahay completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi. He also completed a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science from Magadh University.

Career

Gopi Krishna Sahay has over two decades of experience in government affairs, political communications, and media. He served for five years in the office of Minister of State for Steel, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

As Personal Assistant (1st PA), he managed ministerial office responsibilities, including correspondence, scheduling, and tour planning.

As Media Advisor to Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, he managed the minister's official social media presence, including Twitter and Facebook accounts. He also organised press conferences and maintained engagement with journalists from print and electronic media.

From 1999 to 2009, Gopi Krishna Sahay worked with some news channels and also worked as an independent journalist covering politics, governance, and public affairs.

Political and Organisational Work

During the 2023 Assembly Elections across five states and the 2024 Lok Sabha general elections, Gopi Krishna Sahay was an integral part of the Talking Point team alongside Shri Shiv Shakti Bakshi Ji.

He served as Media-in-Charge for BJP, Chhattisgarh during the 2009 Lok Sabha Election. He also participated in student union elections at College of Commerce, Magadh University in 1991 and 1994.

Gopi Krishna Sahay has been a committed RSS swayamsevak since childhood and was an active member of ABVP during his college years.
