His elder brother, Sh Saurabh Gupta, is a politician serving as National President of Rashtriya Bhagwa Sena Sangathan and is known as a Hindu leader and spokesperson for humanity and Hindu culture.

Dr Gaurav Mahajan completed his schooling up to 12th standard at M.C.M D.A.V Public School, Pathankot, Punjab.
He pursued his MBBS from Nalanda Medical College and Hospital (NMCH), Bihar.
He also completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (FCCM).

Dr Gaurav Mahajan works as a consultant critical care physician and anesthesiology specialist. He has been actively involved in ICU management and emergency medical care.
He is also associated with Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital as an Associate Professor.
