Career

Dr Anil Pillai began his professional journey serving in the Indian Air Force as a Ground Engineer from March 1990 to January 2006, based in New Delhi, where he held roles including Chief Administrative Office (CADMO), Staff Officer Coordination, Maintenance Cell Coordination, Senior Technical Officer, and Course Supervisor for the Junior Management Course, with responsibilities spanning aircraft maintenance supervision, airfield security, technical audits, risk management, flight safety management, and military intelligence.

Following his military service, he entered the insurance and financial services sector, holding roles including Area Manager – Business Partners Channel at ICICI Prudential Life (January–September 2007), Executive Territory Manager at Reliance Life Insurance Co. Ltd. (2007–2010), and Regional Sales Manager – Campus Project at Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance (2006).

He then joined SBI Life Insurance Co.
