Early Life
Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal was born on 13 October 1968 to Sardarni Malkeet Kaur Grewal Ji and Late Sardar Kesar Singh Grewal Ji (Masterji) at Village Raian, District Ludhiana, Punjab, in the neighborhood of the birthplace of Satguru Ram Singh Kuka, the second Guru of the Namdhari sect.
During Punjab's period of terrorism, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal and his father were grievously injured in an attack by Babber Khalsa (BKI) and Bhindranwale Tiger Force (BTF) terrorists, one of multiple life-threatening attacks he survived. He continued his public activities despite the attacks, and came to be known among the people of his village and Punjab as a "fighter" and "warrior." He attributes his survival to divine will and describes having dedicated his life to the service of the nation as a result.
Education
Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal joined the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) from Arya College, Ludhiana. He was selected for induction into the Indian Air Force but could not join due to family responsibilities.
Career
Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal served with the Punjab Mandikaran Board in a clerical capacity for two years before resigning. He currently serves as Namberdar of Village Bhukhri Kalan, District Ludhiana, and practices as an Advocate at the Punjab & Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
He is an agriculturist and farmer in Village Bhukhri Kalan, Ludhiana, and is the proprietor of Grewal Alloys, Bhukhri Kalan (CI & SGI Casting, Electric Furnace Mill). He has also entered the real estate sector as an entrepreneur, and runs petroleum retail outlets at Ranwan, Siahar Sahib, and Bhamian Kalan as part of his family business, which has operated since 1972.

Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal joined the Bharatiya Janata Party as a primary member and became an active member from 1992. He has held numerous positions within the party over the years, including:

He played a role in organizing the National Executive Meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha in Ludhiana, where Shri Kushabhau Thakre, National General Secretary of the BJP, served as Chief Guest, and Shri Hukumdev Narayan Yadav served as National President of the BJP Kisan Morcha.
Beyond the BJP, he has held additional roles including Worldwide Convener of the International Division of Bharat Tibet Sangh (Regd.), Patron of Punjabi Kalakar Manch (Regd.), National General Secretary and In-charge of the North Zone for the Federation of All India Petroleum Traders (Regd.), Former Member of the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Former Member under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), and Former Vice Chairman of the Punjab Small Industries & Export Corporation, Government of Punjab.
Achievements
As Prabhari of BJP Kisan Morcha Jammu & Kashmir for eight continuous years, Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal advanced the cause associated with Chittisinghpora, where thirty-five Sikhs were killed outside the Gurudwara Sahib Chittisinghpora in 2000. Under this initiative, a Central Degree College was sanctioned on nearly 10 acres of land, which is now functional and serves students from remote hilly areas.
He led the movement to protect Basmati, Neem, and Swadeshi heritage from foreign patenting, and represented farmers before the Central Government, contributing to efforts to strengthen the Minimum Support Price during the Congress Government led by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. He opposed Special Economic Zone (SEZ) policies and land acquisition affecting fertile agricultural land during the Congress Government in Punjab led by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.
Since 1996, he has raised issues related to sand mining, land, transport, media, drugs, and farmer suicides, and contributed to securing relief and compensation for affected families. He anticipated the threat of drug trafficking in Punjab and launched a statewide anti-drug campaign, initiating de-addiction camps, NGOs, sports programs, and youth activities.

Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal has visited Italy, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada on multiple occasions.
