Gopi Krishna Sahay is a media and political communications professional from Barh, Patna, with over two decades of experience spanning government affairs, political communications, and media.

Early Life

Gopi Krishna Sahay was born in Barh, Patna. He completed his schooling at St. Joseph Convent School, Barh, and T. Model School, Gaya. He was an active member of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) during his college years at College of Commerce, Magadh University, and has been a committed RSS swayamsevak since childhood. He participated in student union elections at the college in 1991 and 1994.

Education

Gopi Krishna Sahay completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi. He also completed a B.A. (Honours) in Political Science from Magadh University.

Career

Gopi Krishna Sahay has over two decades of experience in government affairs, political communications, and media. He served for five years in the office of Minister of State for Steel, Shri Vishnu Deo Sai.

As Media Advisor to Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, he managed the minister's official social media presence, including Twitter and Facebook accounts. He also organised press conferences and maintained engagement with journalists from print and electronic media.

From 1999 to 2009, Gopi Krishna Sahay worked with some news channels and also worked as an independent journalist covering politics, governance, and public affairs.

Industrial Career

Gopi Krishna Sahay has set up a number of private industries and companies, including Suryakanti Infracon Pvt Ltd, Suryakanti Infratech Pvt Ltd, Future Health Care, and Roots Medical Services Pvt Ltd. He is also President of Suryakanti Foundation.

Political and Organisational Work

During the 2023 Assembly Elections across five states and the 2024 Lok Sabha general elections, Gopi Krishna Sahay was an integral part of the Talking Point team alongside Shri Shiv Shakti Bakshi Ji.

He served as Media-in-Charge for BJP, Chhattisgarh during the 2009 Lok Sabha Election.
