Bhuvan Singh Koram is an Indian social working leader and businessman based in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh. He is known for his dedication to tribal development, education, health awareness, and constitutional rights. Along with his social activities, he is engaged in the real estate business and also takes an interest in agricultural activities.
Education
Bhuvan Singh Koram completed his education in Chemical Engineering through AMIE.
Career
After resigning from his job in Gujarat and returning to his home district of Balaghat, Bhuvan Singh Koram observed the challenges faced by the tribal community due to a lack of education. Motivated by these issues, he devoted himself to social work with a focus on education, health awareness, and constitutional rights.
His work expanded across various parts of Balaghat district, where he conducted awareness campaigns among tribal communities. In recognition of his efforts, he was appointed as the General Secretary of the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Development Council, Balaghat.
He has led several movements concerning tribal rights, including issues related to atrocities, exploitation, Jal, Jungle, Zameen (water, forest, and land rights), actions involving the Revenue and Forest Departments, and concerns relating to Naxalite activities and police operations.
In 2018, he established a free school in a remote forest area to provide primary education for tribal children. He has personally supported the expenses of the school, which has provided education to approximately 300 children.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he assisted students, migrant labourers, and families living in remote forest villages by helping provide food supplies, medicines, and by communicating public concerns to the district administration.
He has received several certificates of appreciation from the tribal community for his social contributions. He later served as the District President of the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Development Council (Balaghat) and was appointed State President of the All India Tribal Religious Council.
Bhuvan Singh Koram continues to participate in social movements across different states and in New Delhi on issues relating to tribal communities. He has also been entrusted with the responsibility of National Executive President by the Gond tribal community.
During the 18th Lok Sabha elections, a coalition of 13 social organizations selected him as their parliamentary candidate.
Currently, Bhuvan Singh Koram is engaged in the real estate business while continuing his social activities. He also takes an active interest in agricultural activities alongside his business and community service.
