Dr Sujoy Kundu is an Indian trauma and arthroplasty surgeon based in Howrah, West Bengal, with more than 20 years of experience. He specializes in advanced trauma management, total knee replacement (TKR), total hip replacement (THR), and revision joint replacement surgery.
Education
Dr Sujoy Kundu completed his MBBS from Kolkata National Medical College. He completed his postgraduate D.Ortho from Kolkata National Medical College, followed by an M.S. and M.Ch. from the University of Seychelles American Institute of Medicine (USAIM).
He completed a fellowship in knee and hip replacement from Sancheti Institute, Pune, India, and completed advanced arthroplasty training at the Bangkok DePuy Academy (Johnson & Johnson). During his fellowship, he gained experience in revision arthroplasty knee and hip surgery and modern sterilization and operating theatre techniques.
He is registered with the West Bengal Medical Council under registration number 54055, and is a member of AO Trauma Asia Pacific, member number 710125.
Career
Dr Sujoy Kundu has practiced independently for the last 15 years in Howrah. His practice focuses on advanced trauma management using the AO technique of surgery, along with joint replacement and revision surgery, which he has carried out independently.
He served as a part-time orthopaedic consultant at E.S.I. Hospital, Baltikuri, Howrah, from 2009 to 2012. He has served as Consultant Trauma and Arthroplasty Surgeon at Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital, Kolkata, since 2010, continuing to the present. He also served as Consultant Trauma and Arthroplasty Surgeon at A.M.R.I. Hospital, Salt Lake, Kolkata, from 2018 to 2019, and at A.M.R.I. Hospital, Dhakuria, from 2018 to 2020.
Since 2020, Dr Sujoy Kundu has served as Director of The Mediview Clinic, located at 27 Asim Roy Sarani, Ichapur Water Tank, Howrah 711104. The clinic provides health care services, specialist doctor consultations, blood testing, and physiotherapy.
