History
Tektronics EMS LTD was founded by Prem Dhawan, who voluntarily retired from Indian Railways as an Electric Loco Pilot in 1996 after 22 years of service. Following his retirement, he established Tektronics, importing semiconductors from various countries and supplying them to electronics manufacturing industries.
The company entered LED light manufacturing in 2012, and subsequently expanded into industrial plastic parts and MCPCB design and fabrication. Tektronics EMS LTD is now developing a facility for the manufacturing of 4G GPS chips through a foreign collaboration, with commercial production expected to begin in September 2026. An Expression of Interest has also been submitted to the Government of India for the manufacturing of power semiconductors, which is currently under approval.
Since its founding, the company has grown from a single-person operation to a workforce of over 400 employees, and continues to expand.
