Uday Sahay is an Indian voluntarily retired IPS Officer, writer, communication consultant, and film producer based in Delhi. He has a diverse professional background spanning public service, media, literature, and film production.
Education
Uday Sahay completed his M.A. in Sociology from the Delhi School of Economics and pursued PhD research at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi.
Career
Uday Sahay began his career as an Indian Foreign Trade Service Officer in the 1986 batch. He later joined the Indian Police Service in the AGMUT Cadre as part of the 1988 batch. He served as Deputy Director General at Prasar Bharati from 2001 to 2006 and was Director of Information & Publicity for the Delhi Government between 2006 and 2009. During the Commonwealth Games 2010, he held the position of Additional Director General for Media and Communication. He also served as Vice-Chancellor of IGTMSU in Arunachal Pradesh. Since 2012, he has been the Managing Director of SAUV Communications Private Limited. Additionally, he co-produced the Netflix film Humans In The Loop.
Achievements
Uday Sahay is the author of eight books, including best sellers such as Making News published by Oxford University and the Kayasth Encyclopedia.
